RTE has come into effect from 1st April, 2010. State Rules (ORCFCE Rule, 2010)
notified on 27-09-2010. Basic objectives of the RTE Act 2009 are Universalization
of Access & Enrolment, Retention, Quality & Bridging of different Gender
& Social Category Gaps. For achieving these objectives the following schemes
of the Central Govt. as well as State Govt. which work as incentive for children
as well as their parents in the lowest economic range to attend school are given
below.
Schemes like Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) & Kasturava Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya
(KGBV) as centrally sponsored schemes are being implemented in the state to cater
the elementary education needs of children at elementary level. Detailed intervention
wise progresses under these schemes are given below.
