D. ENSURING QUALITY (Section 9(h),(i) & (j) of the RTE Act)

  • Academic Calendar as per RTE norm has been distributed at the school point
  • SAHAJA the on going reinforcement programme implemented in all the schools of the state to improve learning level of the children in Language & Mathematics.
  • State will go through NAS findings developed by NCERT for the state for Classes III & VIII and take corrective action as well as disseminate these findings among all elementary school teachers
  • SLAS for Classes III, V and VIII will be conducted by the State for which report will be submitted by April, 2016 by 3rd Party
  • PINDICS (Performance Indicators) received from NCERT has been modified as per need of the State and same has been distributed among all the districts for successful implementation at grass-root level
  • LINDICS (Learning Indicators) in different subjects developed by NCERT will be implemented in the State for enhancing achievement level of the students
  • Quality Monitoring Tool (QMT) is being implemented and the result has been analyzed at the State level and send to NCERT(quarterly)
  • Quality Award of Rs.66 lakhs been distributed to 44 schools identified by the State Quality Cell.
  • School Grant is being released to Elementary School
  • Monthly monitoring of the activities at School on 51 parameters done through ‘e-Samiksha’
  • Teaching in classroom has been shifted to concept based approach. Teachers handbook namely ‘SAMADHAN’ & ‘SADHAN’ developed and distributed to facilitate classroom transaction
 
  • Graded reading materials ‘SOPAN’ in Mathematics for Class I, II & III ‘ SANJOG’ in language for class I & II developed. It is based on concepts given in the text books
  • Self -learning Materials ‘SWAYAM’ in Science for Class VI, VII & VIII have been developed to supplement the text materials.
  • The State has 316 Block Resource Centres (BRCs) and 4806 Cluster Resource Centres(CRCs). PAB has approved 5694.32 lakhs for BRCs and 5887.32 lakh for CRCs for academic support and super vision through BRCs & CRCs
  • 26872268 no. (96%) of NT Books have been supplied to 30 districts for class I-VIII as on 30/6/2015.
  • TE & SCERT as Academic Authority declared under RTE.
  • Discontinuation of Board Examinations at Elementary Level has been notified.
  • Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) conducted for the recruitment of teachers.
  • During 2014-15, advertisement for recruitment of 16601 Shiksha Sahayaks was made and out of that 9764 recruited till date.
  • Teachers’ awareness on RTE: Teachers are provided with critical inputs and engaged in brainstorming on RTE at various platforms like trainings and the District level Sensitization Meets on RTE
  • State Govt has taken steps to enhance the quality education by awarding Primary Merit Scholarship, Primary Merit-cum-Poverty Scholarship, Pathani Samanta Mathematics Talent Scholarship.
  • Quality Award to best performing schools has been introduced.
  • State Award to best performing teachers has been given on teacher’s day.

TEACHERS’ TRAINING

  • 44778 no. of teachers will be trained in Early Grade for Class-I & II (6 days) followed by 7 days MSM (Monthly Sharing Meeting)
  • 67172 no. of teachers will be trained in Primary Grade module (6 days) followed by 7 days MSM.
  • 63455 no. of teachers will be trained in Upper Primary Grade module (4 days) followed by 7 days MSM for 22447 teachers
  • Training package for all training has been developed through workshop mode.
  • 16601 no. of newly recruited teachers will be imparted Induction Training
  • 600 Head Teacher will be imparted training on School Leadership Programme.
  • Training will be imparted to 14716 untrained teachers through distance education mode.
